Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 30 points in three quarters as the Oklahoma City Thunder routed the Washington Wizards 114-75 on Saturday night, November 7, in Oklahoma City, holding Washington to the lowest team total in the NBA this season.

Jared McCain added 19 points for Oklahoma City, and rookie Aday Mara had 18 points, eight rebounds and three blocks. The Thunder improved to 8-2 and have won five of seven games since losing starters Jalen Williams, Cason Wallace and Chet Holmgren to long-term injuries.

Rookie AJ Dybantsa scored 19 points for Washington and Alex Sarr had 15 points and 14 rebounds. Playing without Anthony Davis, the Wizards made 29 of 98 shots (29.6 percent) and only 7 of 43 three-point attempts, losing their third straight to fall to 4-6.

Both teams had played NBA Cup games the previous night, but Oklahoma City shot 50 percent in the first half and built a 57-36 lead behind 17 points from McCain and 16 from Gilgeous-Alexander, who sat out the fourth quarter. Washington missed its first seven field-goal attempts and shot 15-for-52 in the first half.

A Gilgeous-Alexander three-pointer with 4:38 left in the third quarter made it 76-54, rookie Bennett Stirtz pushed the lead to 90-59 after three quarters, and the advantage later grew to 109-69.

Washington visits Detroit on Monday night, and Oklahoma City visits Portland on Tuesday night.
