Norris Wins in Sao Paulo for Second Straight Year as Mercedes Seal Ninth Constructors' Title to Complete Double

SAO PAULO — Lando Norris won the Sao Paulo Grand Prix from pole position on November 8 for the second year in a row, as Mercedes secured their ninth Formula One constructors' world championship and completed a title double at Interlagos.
The race ended in the rain. Red Bull's Max Verstappen finished second and his teammate Isack Hadjar was third. George Russell was fourth for Mercedes and drivers' champion Kimi Antonelli fifth. Ferrari's Charles Leclerc was seventh and Lewis Hamilton ninth. Mercedes had needed to score only three points more than Ferrari to clinch the title, and the Italian team never threatened to prolong the fight.
The constructors' crown is Mercedes' first since 2021. It comes a week after 20-year-old Italian Antonelli became the youngest drivers' champion in Mexico City, with four races to spare. Mercedes now hold both the drivers' and constructors' titles.
