29th Tri-Valley Veterans Day Parade Marches in Pleasanton on November 8: More Than 75 Groups Honor Student Veterans Down Main Street

Sunday, November 8, 2026 · Activities · GSM News

The 29th annual Tri-Valley Veterans Day Parade and band concert was held on Sunday, November 8, in Pleasanton, a city in Alameda County, California. The parade stepped off at 1 p.m. in front of Veterans Memorial Hall, at 301 Main Street, and proceeded four blocks north on Main Street to St. Mary's Street, with more than 75 organizations expected to take part this year.

Leading the parade was a color guard made up of members of Pleasanton Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6298 and American Legion Post 237. This year's parade honored student veterans, and its grand marshals, Trevor Penero and Anthony Sandoval, represent student veterans at Las Positas College.

At 1:30 p.m., the Pleasanton Community Concert Band, under the direction of Josephine Clements, performed patriotic music in front of Veterans Memorial Hall, and free ice cream was available for attendees.

As in past years, the parade and the post-parade event were organized and hosted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6298, American Legion Post 237 and the City of Pleasanton. Veterans Day, the federal holiday on November 11, honors all who have served or are serving in the nation's armed forces, and Pleasanton held this year's parade on the Sunday before the holiday so more families could attend.
