Nevada Governor's Race Tied 47-47 Between Lombardo and Ford in Final Poll

Nevada's governor's race is dead even in the final stretch. A Noble Predictive Insights poll of 487 likely voters conducted October 26–28 shows Republican Governor Joe Lombardo and Democratic challenger Aaron Ford tied at 47 percent each, the Reno Gazette Journal reported. Lombardo held a slight edge in the firm's September survey.
Mike Noble, the polling firm's founder and CEO, pointed to a split by voting progress: Ford leads by 13 points among voters who have already cast ballots, while Lombardo leads by 12 among those who have not yet voted — meaning many of the governor's supporters still need to turn out.
Ford leads independents 45 percent to 39 percent, but 10 percent of independents are undecided, more than twice the statewide share. Democrats also lead in the races for lieutenant governor, attorney general and secretary of state. The poll's margin of error is plus or minus 4.4 points. Election Day is November 3.
