Google's Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash Goes Generally Available: 15-Second Video, 30% Cheaper
Google DeepMind announced on November 5 that its video model Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash is now generally available across the Gemini API and Gemini for business. It is the first time a Gemini Omni model has reached general availability, backed by Google Cloud's enterprise-grade infrastructure and security, with Provisioned Throughput available for enterprise customers.
The model generates and edits video natively up to 15 seconds long, up from 10 seconds in Omni 1.1, and supports multi-turn conversational editing, so the same clip can be refined repeatedly instead of regenerated. Reference following is also stronger. Pricing is $0.07 per second for 720p video, 30% below Omni 1.1. All outputs carry an imperceptible SynthID watermark.
Beyond the API and business offerings, the model is also rolling out through Google products including Flow, Google Vids, the Gemini app for Google AI Ultra subscribers, and Google Ads.
