WASHINGTON — President Donald J. Trump posted on Truth Social on October 19 publicly thanking Elon Musk for giving SpaceX stock to millions of American children through Trump Accounts, saying it was exactly what was envisioned when the accounts were created.

The post read: "A BIG THANK YOU to our legendary friend, Elon Musk, for his incredible generosity in giving SpaceX Stock to millions of American children through TRUMP ACCOUNTS! This is exactly what was envisioned when we created TRUMP ACCOUNTS — Bringing together the GREAT PRIVATE SECTOR, Elon and so many more, to invest in our children, by far our greatest and most important asset, and give every American Child a piece of the American Dream. Thank you Elon! President DONALD J. TRUMP."

GSM previously reported that Musk announced this month he will give one share of SpaceX stock to every child in America next year, calling it the first of many such actions. Trump Accounts are investment accounts established by the federal government for American children; on October 7, Trump spoke about Trump Accounts in the Oval Office, with children and parents in attendance. The post is Trump's public response following Musk's announcement. (GSM, via President Trump's Truth Social post)
