NFL Suspends Rams Left Tackle Alaric Jackson Two Games for Postgame Punch at SoFi Stadium; Appeal Planned

Los Angeles is a city in Los Angeles County, California. US media reported on October 13-14 that the NFL on Tuesday suspended Los Angeles Rams starting left tackle Alaric Jackson for two games after he punched Buffalo Bills linebacker Bradley Chubb in the face following Monday night's 37-34 overtime loss at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, as players were shaking hands and exchanging jerseys; the incident was caught on video.
In a statement, the NFL said the act violated Rule 12, Section 3, Article 1, covering acts contrary to the generally understood principles of sportsmanship. Rams head coach Sean McVay confirmed on Tuesday that Jackson would appeal under the collective bargaining agreement. It is Jackson's second NFL suspension; he was suspended two games in 2024 for violating the league's personal conduct policy. The Rams stand at 2-3.
