Apple's First Foldable, iPhone Duo, Opens for Pre-Orders Friday at 5 a.m. PT, Starting at $1,999
CUPERTINO — Apple says its first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo, will open for pre-orders at 5 a.m. Pacific Time on Friday, October 16, with availability beginning Friday, October 23 in the United States and more than 70 countries and regions. Unveiled at Apple's September 9 event, the iPhone Duo starts at $1,999 and comes in Star White and Night Sky finishes, with 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB storage options.
Apple opened its “Get Ready” preparation feature on October 12, letting customers choose a color and capacity, confirm carrier status, add accessories and an AppleCare+ plan, set up a trade-in and add a payment method in advance, so checkout takes a single tap when pre-orders go live. With foldable hardware in limited production, initial stocks are expected to be extremely limited, according to MacRumors.
