Update: Norte Fire Evacuation Orders Lifted - San Clemente Zone SCL13 and San Juan Zone SJC10-B Cleared for Return

ORANGE COUNTY - CAL FIRE updated its Norte Fire incident page at midday on October 17: at 12:10 p.m., the San Juan Capistrano eviction zone SJC10 was divided into zones SJC10-A and SJC10-B, and at 12:18 p.m. the eviction orders for zone SJC10-B and for San Clemente zone SCL13 were cleared. The fire itself is changed: in its 8:07 a.m. update on October 17, CAL FIRE reported the fire at 570 acres with 5% containment, six homes damaged or destroyed, and the cause still under investigation.
