Follow-up: Golden State Valkyries Host Atlanta Dream Tonight as WNBA Finals Game 5 Decides the Series Momentum
The Chase Center in San Francisco, San Francisco County, California, will host Game 5 of the 2026 WNBA Finals on the evening of October 26, with the Golden State Valkyries at home against the Atlanta Dream; tipoff is at 5 p.m. Pacific time. According to an October 26 USA Today report, the teams are tied 2-2 through four games, and the winner of Game 5 will take the first championship point of the series.
The Valkyries won Game 1 of the Finals 68-64, lost Games 2 and 3 by 65-79 and 71-95, and took Game 4 by 67-62 to level the series. Game 5 will air on USA Network and can also be watched on platforms including Peacock.
If a Game 6 is needed, it will be played on October 29 in Atlanta; if a Game 7 is needed, it will return to the Chase Center in San Francisco on October 31. The Valkyries are a new Bay Area team that has reached the Finals for the first time this season and battled to a fifth game, and the home crowd's support will be an important force.
The team reminded fans to arrive early and to mind traffic arrangements around the arena. The outcome of this do-or-die game will decide which way the balance tips in the Finals.
