Sunday, November 8, 2026 · Sports · GSM News

SEATTLE, Washington — Seattle Seahawks guard Quenton Nelson will miss the Sunday, November 8 home game against the Arizona Cardinals with a knee injury and will undergo surgery. Head coach Mike Macdonald told reporters on Friday, November 6 that Nelson will have a minor procedure, will be monitored week to week and does not need to be placed on injured reserve. The injury is reported to be a cartilage issue. Nelson, 30, an eight-time Pro Bowl selection, joined the Seahawks in an October 27 trade from the Indianapolis Colts and played every offensive snap in his debut against the Chicago Bears on Monday, November 2, a game Seattle lost 34-17. The Seahawks will also be without left tackle Charles Cross (ankle) on November 8, and quarterback Sam Darnold (quadriceps and ribs) and wide receiver Rashid Shaheed (knee) are among several other players set to miss the game, putting pressure on Seattle's offensive line and offense.
