Much of the building was destroyed and the roof partially collapsed. Clinton Fire Chief Levius Buckley said firefighters rescued several residents through windows, and evacuated residents were bused to a nearby church to reunite with family members. Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves said the state health department, the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency and multiple fire departments assisted with the response and the search.
