Iranian State TV Airs a Missile Target Map of Europe Listing Kyiv, Lviv and Odesa as Potential Targets

Wednesday, November 4, 2026 · World · GSM News

Tehran — Iranian state television (IRINN) aired a map of Europe on the evening of November 4 marking the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, along with Lviv and Odesa, as potential targets for missile strikes. Rzeszów in Poland — a key logistics hub for Western military aid to Ukraine — was also marked on the graphic, which carried a Persian caption saying Iran's missiles would reach Europe.

Manouchehr Mottaki, a former Iranian foreign minister who is now a member of parliament, said on state television that if a new conflict erupts, Tehran could lift geographical restrictions on its military operations. Tehran's Hamshahri newspaper had published a front-page infographic on November 3 listing potential targets in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Greece, Romania, Albania, Portugal and Cyprus, and said Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei had approved a new doctrine of confrontation without geographical restrictions; that claim came from the newspaper, with no formal Iranian government document published.

It should be noted that the target map was a graphic shown on Iranian state television amid the escalating U.S.–Iran confrontation — a deterrent message from the Iranian side. Whether it represents the Iranian government's formal military position is unclear, and no independent source has confirmed that Iran has decided to open a war against Europe.

The broadcast came as the United States weighed resuming all-out strikes on Iran and as Iran sent Washington a nuclear proposal via Qatar. Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, restated Tehran's seven conditions when he met Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on November 5; President Trump said the same day that he would soon decide whether to resume an all-out war on Iran.
