Houthi Projectile Injures Six in Saudi Arabia's Najran, Damaging Three Houses and Three Vehicles

Riyadh — Six citizens were wounded after a hostile projectile launched by Yemen's Houthi movement struck a residential site in Najran, Saudi Arabia's Civil Defense said on Sunday, in a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency. The incident caused material damage to three houses and three vehicles. The Civil Defense spokesman stressed that attempts to target civilian objects flagrantly violate international humanitarian law, affirming that all approved measures had been taken; emergency teams responded to the scene. The statement did not specify the severity of the injuries. Saudi Civil Defense had earlier issued potential-danger alerts for Riyadh and southwestern cities through the National Early Warning Platform, and later said the immediate danger had passed.
Najran lies near Saudi Arabia's border with Yemen. The incident came amid a multi-week campaign of Houthi strikes on Saudi airports and energy infrastructure: a Saudi AH-6i reconnaissance helicopter crashed in the Najran region days earlier, killing both crew members, and the Saudi-led coalition has repeatedly intercepted ballistic missiles and drones launched toward sites across the kingdom in recent days (both covered separately on this site).
