Oregon 2026 Election Results: Kotek Reelected Governor, Merkley Reelected to the Senate

Oregon voted in the 2026 midterm elections on November 3, and the results below are the collective choice of the state's voters. According to the Oregon Secretary of State's semi-official count and Associated Press race calls, Gov. Tina Kotek was reelected and Sen. Jeff Merkley was reelected; the attorney general, secretary of state and treasurer were not on this year's ballot; there were no statewide ballot measures; all six U.S. House incumbents were reelected, five Democrats and one Republican; and Democrats kept control of both houses of the Legislature. The full list follows.

Governor and U.S. Senator

Governor: Tina Kotek (D), 795,730 votes, 51.7%, reelected. Called by the AP. The race was a rematch of the 2022 governor's election, and Kotek defeated the same opponent a second time.

Governor, other candidates: Christine Drazan (R), 699,435 votes, 45.5%; Brett Smith (Pacific Green), 40,742 votes, 2.7%.

U.S. Senator: Jeff Merkley (D), 864,421 votes, 56.6%, reelected. Called by the AP.

U.S. Senate, other candidates: David Brock Smith (R), 619,268 votes, 40.5%; Chris Henry (Progressive / Pacific Green), 28,845 votes; Gary Dye (Libertarian), 14,372 votes. The state's other senator, Ron Wyden, was not up this year; his seat is next contested in 2028.

Other Statewide Offices

Attorney General: no election this year. Incumbent Dan Rayfield (D) was elected in 2024, with a term to 2029; the office is next contested in 2028.

Secretary of State: no election this year. Incumbent Tobias Read (D) was elected in 2024; next contested in 2028.

Treasurer: no election this year. Incumbent Elizabeth Steiner (D) was elected in 2024; next contested in 2028.

Commissioner of Labor and Industries (a nonpartisan office, not on the November ballot): Christina Stephenson was reelected with 63.2% in the nonpartisan election of May 19, 2026.

Ballot Measures

There were no statewide ballot measures or constitutional amendments on this year's ballot. Local measures, such as Portland's, are not part of this statewide list.

U.S. House

Overview: all 6 seats were held by their incumbents — 5 Democrats and 1 Republican, unchanged from before the election, with no flips.

District 1: Suzanne Bonamici (D), 69.6%, reelected.

District 2: Cliff Bentz (R), 61.5%, reelected, the delegation's only Republican.

District 3: Maxine Dexter (D), 76.1%, reelected.

District 4: Val Hoyle (D), 54.0%, reelected.

District 5: Janelle Bynum (D), 54.1%, reelected.

District 6: Andrea Salinas (D), 57.9%, reelected.

Chinese American / Asian American winners: none among the six House winners.

State Legislature

State Senate: Democratic control, no flip. Democrats held 18 seats to the Republicans' 12 before the election and remain in control; final numbers await certification.

State House: Democratic control, no flip. Democrats held 37 seats to 23 and remain in control, with the count pointing to a larger Democratic contingent; final numbers await certification.

All figures are from the Oregon Secretary of State's semi-official count and AP calls as of the morning of November 4. Oregon votes by mail, and ballots postmarked by Election Day are still being counted; state certification is set for around December 10, and final results are subject to that certification.
