San Diego County: First Election Results Expected After 8 P.M. Tonight

San Diego County, California, on the morning of November 3 published guidance on when to expect election results. The county Registrar of Voters said that on election night, campaigns, candidates and voters want to see results as soon as possible, but counting ballots takes time to ensure every ballot is valid and accurately processed.
Under the Registrar's schedule, the first results will be posted after 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3, following the close of vote centers, and periodic updates will continue throughout the night until all vote center ballots are reported. After election night, the next unofficial results updates are scheduled by 6 p.m. on Thursday, November 5 through Friday, November 6, and by 6 p.m. on Monday, November 9. Additional updates may occur at the Registrar's discretion, with the date of the next posting prominently displayed on the unofficial results bulletin at sdvote.com.
All results are unofficial until completion of the official canvass of the election, which is due on or before December 3. The Registrar's office is located at 5600 Overland Avenue, Suite 100, on the County Operations Center campus in Kearny Mesa, San Diego.
