Idaho 2026 Election Results: Little Reelected Governor as Republicans Sweep Statewide Offices

Idaho voted in the 2026 midterm elections on November 3, and the results below are the collective choice of the state's voters. According to the Idaho Secretary of State's count and Associated Press race calls, Brad Little was reelected governor, Jim Risch was reelected to the U.S. Senate, Republicans won all seven state constitutional offices with every incumbent returned, and both U.S. House seats stayed Republican. Of four statewide questions, two passed and two were rejected. The full list follows.
Governor and U.S. Senator
Governor: Brad Little (R, incumbent), 407,216 votes, 57.1%, reelected to a third term. Called by the AP.
Governor, other candidates: Terri Pickens (D), 230,763 votes, 32.3%; John Stegner (unaffiliated), 54,206 votes, 7.6%; Paul Sand (Libertarian), 11,541 votes, 1.6%; Pro-Life (Constitution Party), 9,486 votes, 1.3%.
U.S. Senator: Jim Risch (R, incumbent), 401,731 votes, 56.5%, reelected. Called by the AP.
U.S. Senate, other candidates: Todd Achilles (unaffiliated), 238,348 votes, 33.5%; Natalie Fleming (unaffiliated), 49,927 votes, 7.0%; Matt Loesby (Libertarian), about 2.9%. The Democratic primary winner, David Roth, withdrew at the end of July, so no Democrat appeared on the general-election ballot. The state's other senator, Mike Crapo (R), was not up this year; his seat is next contested in 2028.
Other Statewide Offices
Lieutenant Governor: Scott Bedke (R), 63.5%, reelected.
Secretary of State: Phil McGrane (R), 472,310 votes, 67.4%, reelected. His opponent Shawn Keenan (D) took 228,592 votes. Called by the AP.
Attorney General: Raúl Labrador (R), 59.9%, reelected.
Controller: Brandon Woolf (R), 66.2%, reelected.
Treasurer: Julie Ellsworth (R), 65.5%, reelected.
Superintendent of Public Instruction: Debbie Critchfield (R), 61.6%, reelected.
In sum, Republicans won all seven constitutional offices, with every incumbent returned; except for secretary of state, the percentages above are from the Secretary of State's unofficial tally and the AP has not separately confirmed each call.
Ballot Questions
Proposition 1 (Reproductive Freedom and Privacy Act): would establish reproductive freedom and privacy rights including pre-viability abortion access and repeal related limits in the state's current abortion ban. Rejected: Yes 318,822 votes, 44.1%, to No 404,827 votes, 55.9%. Called by the AP. It was the only one of four abortion-related state measures nationwide in 2026 to be rejected.
HJR 6 (official English amendment): would write English as the state's official language into the constitution, requiring public proceedings, documents and instruction in English (except where federal law requires otherwise). Passed: Yes 447,680 votes, 63.2%, to 261,043 No. Called by the AP.
HJR 4 (drug legalization authority amendment): would reserve authority to legalize marijuana, narcotics and other psychoactive substances exclusively to the legislature, removing the citizen initiative route. Rejected: Yes 239,893 votes, 33.7%, to No 471,288 votes, 66.3%. Called by the AP.
Advisory Question (state gun, HB 932, non-binding): asked voters to choose an official state gun from six models. The Winchester Model 1873, "the gun that won the West," finished first with 164,394 votes. Called by the AP.

In sum, Democrats gained six seats across both chambers (one in the Senate, five in the House); final chamber counts await certification review.
Counting and Certification
Figures are from the Secretary of State's unofficial count and AP calls as of the morning of November 4 (the AP estimates about 98.9% of the expected vote counted). The State Board of Canvassers is set to certify the results on November 24. Final results are subject to official certification, and GSM will update this list accordingly.
